Covid-19: WORK for REFUGEES
YEAR
2020
RANGE OF WORK
Graphic design, charity, art direction
DESCRIPTION
Work to help refugees in Paris during the Covid-19 pandemic.
PROJECT
I was hired by a collective of NGOs helping refugees in Paris. I made posters, flyers and a satirical logo redesign in order to help refugees living in Paris whose lives had been severely impacted by Covid-19.
GUIDLINES
The first task was to adapt a poster made by the CDC with the guidlines and symptoms of Covid-19 in six languages.
FLYER
I then designed flyers with information about hospitals, clinics and NGOs that can help those who are sick. The flyers needed to be in French, English, Arabic, Bengali, Dari, and Pashto.
LOGO REDESIGN
Finally, the NGOs asked me to make a parody of the logo for the OFII, the French Office of Immigration and Integration, as it is highly criticized. I created a version of the original design in which the middle character representing French bureaucracy is turning away asylum seekers instead of welcoming them.
