In collaboration with the Aegean Solidarity Network, I led a campaign to raise awareness about the refugee crisis on the Greek islands. Our primary aim was to humanise and support refugees, transforming perceptions of pity into empathy. After in-depth research into the crisis, we developed a strategy that highlighted refugee stories and experiences through the lens of the careers they were forced to leave behind, aiming to foster relatability and emphasise the humanity behind the numbers and statistics.

We also designed unique garments sold through the charity’s online store, funding humanitarian aid, and developed moving-image advertisements to engage wider audiences on social media. To support this outreach, we reimagined the charity’s website with a focus on accessibility and ease of donation.

Our proposal was selected by the charity to be implemented in the upcoming year, and we continue to work closely with them to tailor each project element to their needs.
