TEFAF

2024 - 2022

Maastricht

Over three consecutive years, I created stand designs for Lullo Pampoulides at TEFAF in the Netherlands, the world’s leading art fair for fine art, antiques, and design, where the gallery showcases its most significant discoveries each year.

In 2024, the stand’s focal point was a horizontal shelf integrated into the main wall, visible from a distance. The space was complemented by soft beige tones and a white entrance. Through thoughtful arrangement and carefully curated lighting, I aimed to craft an atmosphere that appealed to both collectors and casual visitors.

For the 2023 edition, the stand featured a carefully curated selection of works that told compelling stories from art history, with a particular emphasis on female artists. The artworks were displayed in a contemporary setting, with a dialogue created between two standout pieces: an important Renaissance bronze of an Italian Matriarch and a monumental 19th-century painting, enhancing the viewer’s appreciation of their artistic significance.

In 2022, I drew inspiration from Tadao Ando’s concrete walls, which provided a modern contrast to the master artworks. At the centre of the stand was a striking marble Saint Sebastian, which became the focal point of both the exhibition and a concurrent advertising campaign centred around the sculpture.
